Christa Saeger
Been with the MSO since: Fall 2007
Hometown: Maple Grove, Minnesota
Education: BA Gustavus Adolphus College 2008 MM University
of Minnesota 2010
My day job: Full-time music student at the University
of Minnesota
Earliest musical memory: Hiding in the high school bathroom
at my older brother's orchestra performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture
waiting for his conducter to shoot a stage gun into a trash can.
Favorite thing about performing music: Expressing what
cannot be expressed with words
The composition I would most like to perform: Dvorak's
Cello Concerto in b Minor
Best part about being an MSO musician: The MSO had a
strong sense of community. During rehearsals and performances I feel like
we are all working together to make music, moreso than any other ensemble
in which I have been a member.
What's on my iPod or in my CD player: My orchestral excerpt
CD.
