My day job: Musikgarten [music classes for young children] teacher, Suzuki violin teacher, and voice teacher.
Earliest musical memory: Sitting on the organ bench while my mother practiced.
Favorite thing about performing music: Not only hearing the music, but feeling the musical vibrations into my bones.
Other instruments I play: Mezzo-soprano; piano
The composition I would most like to perform: Richard Strauss, Four Last Songs; Richard Wagner, Wesondonklieder; any Strauss tone poem.
Best part about being an MSO musician: Being part of a musical organization that continues to be challenged musically and meets that challenge.
What's on my iPod or in my CD player: Nina Simone, Bach, Brahms, Arlene Auger, Mozart…etc, etc, etc.
Advice for young musicians: The purpose of practice is to make things easier.
