Been with the MSO since: Spring of 2008

Hometown: Fargo, ND

Education: Gustavus Adolphus College –Major in Communication Studies, Minor in Music, Concentration in Psychology

My day job: Creative Communications & Marketing Specialist at Salo, LLC in Minneapolis, MN

Earliest musical memory: The first day I brought my cello home I played “Twinkle Twinkle” for my grandparents – they called my cello a “horn,” not knowing what it was!

Favorite thing about performing music: Being a part of recreating some of the most magnificent musical masterpieces of all time, and sharing my passion for performing with others.

The composition I would most like to perform: Mark Summer’s “Julie-O” for solo cello

Best part about being an MSO musician:
Performing with our community’s finest musicians under an absolutely phenomenal conductor. Instilling my love for music in others, especially Mankato’s youth.

What's on my iPod or in my CD player: Turtle Island String Quartet, Romantic Cello CD, John Mayer Trio, One Republic, a variety of oldies

Other interesting facts(s): Engaged to be married in Summer of 2009, former Miss America Contestant
