Internships & Volunteer Positions


The Mankato Symphony has openings for part time, unpaid internships or volunteer opportunities. Suggested fields are music or music industry, graphic design, nonprofit leadership, marketing and public relations, education, writing, although we are open to new opportunities.

 

Desired qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay effectively on-task without constant direct supervision
  • Some knowledge of the non-profit world and/or performing arts and/or classical music is helpful but not necessary

 

Interns will have access to free tickets for symphony events and a recommendation letter or professional reference upon successful completion of the internship. Credit must be arranged through your college or university.

Audition Information

Members of the Mankato Symphony are chosen by blind audition. Auditions take place in early September. Contact the MSO Office with questions or to schedule your audition.
