MAESL

Music Appreciation at the Elementary School Level

MAESL has been a program of the Mankato Symphony Guild for the past 37 years.

The purpose of MAESL is to increase appreciation and enjoyment of music by elementary school children through seeing and hearing performers demonstrate and play their instruments. The program is coordinated by a committee of the Symphony Guild and the elementary school music teachers and is available to third graders in all the public and parochial schools in the Mankato Community. The third grade students are bussed to one of the High Schools where the High School students conduct the demonstrations in each of the four instrument families.
