Vocalist Connie Evingson is known for her eclectic repertoire, ranging from jazz and Broadway standards to the Beatles, bossa nova, the blues and more.Tonight, she brings a blend of hot swing and gypsy jazz to the Kato for an evening of classic jazz from the 1920’s - ’40’s.Dress up in your finest and sip some of our vintage cocktails for a grown up evening out.Don’t forget your dancing shoes!

One of the Twin Cities’ favorite vocalists, Connie can swing the standards with the best of them. And she can hold her own with a Beatles book. And she sounds great in a hot club/gypsy jazz setting.  She has recorded CD’s with all of these projects and more!

Known for her eclectic and wide-ranging repertoire, Connie’s recorded catalog of acclaimed CD’s reflects an adventurous spirit that knows no boundaries, with multiple albums in the gypsy jazz style plus additional projects exploring the music of Peggy Lee, the Beatles, Dave Frishberg, bossa nova, etc.  Her “Gypsy in My Soul”  CD  brought her a nomination of JazzWeek Vocalist of the Year, and consistently ranks in the Top Ten International Jazz releases on Amazon.   Based in Minneapolis, Evingson has made guest appearances with Jazz at Lincoln Center, A Prairie Home Companion, the JazzMN Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, Mankato Symphony and others.  She appears at various Twin Cities venues and is the featured artist on the Jungle Theater’s Jazz at the Jungle concert series.
