Mankato Symphony Orchestra

Mankato Symphony Orchestra

Kenneth Freed—Music Director

Corporate Giving

There's nothing like the electricity generated between orchestra, conductor and audience during the best moments of a live concert. Even in this age of digital music, ipods can't possibly match more than 80 musicians on stage. The excitement of a live performance can't be duplicated. As the only full symphony orchestra in south central Minnesota, the MSO is a vital component not only of the local arts scene, but also of the music education provided to schools in the region.

Concert ticket sales comprise one-third of the revenue needed to support the MSO's annual budget. More than 40 percent of the MSO's income is from individuals and businesses. The remainder comes from grants and program advertising. As a non-profit organization, the MSO relies on the generous contributions of individuals and businesses, who value the arts programming we provide.

The Mankato Symphony welcomes corporate donations of any size.  All donors are recognized within our concert program.  In 1991, the MSO Board of Directors implemented our concert underwriting program.  Concert underwriters receive special recognition within our program and during our concerts.
