There's nothing like the electricity generated between orchestra, conductor and audience during the best moments of a live concert. Even in this age of digital music, ipods can't possibly match more than 80 musicians on stage. The excitement of a live performance can't be duplicated. As the only full symphony orchestra in south central Minnesota, the MSO is a vital component not only of the local arts scene, but also of the music education provided to schools in the region.
Concert ticket sales comprise one-third of the revenue needed to support the MSO's annual budget. More than 40 percent of the MSO's income is from individuals and businesses. The remainder comes from grants and program advertising. As a non-profit organization, the MSO relies on the generous contributions of individuals and businesses, who value the arts programming we provide.

Mankato Symphony sponsors are acknowledged in the following ways:
| Up to $299 | General Sponsors receive recognition in all (5) season subscription concert programs. Contribution levels in this category are listed as: Friends To $49 Encore $50-$149 Concerto Circle $150-$299 |
| $300-$499 | Section Musican Sponsors receive the above plus an invitation to attend a special rehearsal. This will give you the opportunity to meet the musicians and see what goes on behind the scenes in preparation for a concert. |
| $500 | Section Principal Sponsors receive all of the above plus additional recognition on the musician roster page of the programs. You may select the specific Section Principal you wish to sponsor. |
| $800 | Concertmaster Sponsors receive all of the above plus additional recognition on the musician roster page of the programs. |
| $1,000 | Guest Artist Sponsors receive all of the above plus invitation to sponsor thank-you concert. |
| $1,500 | Conductor Sponsors receive all of the above plus the option of having an MSO ensemble perform at your private or company function. |
