Mary Carlson Zuehlke
Mary Carlson Zuehlke has been teaching the Suzuki Method of Violin and piano for over 30 years. She has taught in Indiana, Colorado, Illionois, and Minnesota. She has studied Suzuki teaching with Professor Zweig of Indiana University, Dr. Laurel Thurman of Northern Illinois University, and James and Jacqueline Maurer of the Denver Talent Education program in CO. Her private studies include instructors Shmuel Ashkenasi of Chicago, Stephen Clapp of Juilliard School of Music, Professor Zweig of Indiana and Felix Adndrievski of the Royal College of Music.
She has also studied with Steven Isserlis in London and performed with Paul Coker in London.
Mary has performed the violin with 17 symphonies around the country and has soloed with many. She was a member of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra for 9 years, the Waterloo Symphony in Iowa, the Sioux Falls Symphony and the Austin Symphony in Minnesota.
Some of the other artists she has performed with or for are Itzhak Perlman, Misha Dichter, Bob Hope, Lyle Lovett, George W. Bush, Sr. Linda Ronstadt, The Beach Boys, Vince Gill, Cho Lang Lynn, Gil Shaham, Kioko Takazawa, Nadia Solerno-Sonnenberg, Yefmin Bronfman, and Sarah Chang.
Mary has been on the staff at Loyola Catholic Schools and Kato Public Charter Schools. She has also taught violion at Minesota State, Mankato. Mary resides in Mankato and currently teaches 50 private students.
